Anam Cara will be running a series of Professional Bereavement Talks during September, October & November .
These events are open to all bereaved parents. At Anam Cara we don’t identify ourselves by the age of our child, how they died or when they died. It may have been a cot death or a still birth, suicide, road traffic accident or serious illness.
At Anam Cara we identify ourselves as parents who have experienced the loss of a precious son or daughter, trying to find our way through our grief and pain.
We have listed the details of these talks below;
Peter Hanlon, Bereavement Speciialist with the HSE, will be giving a talk on "A Bereaved Parent's Grief" at the Maldron Midway Hotel, Portlaoise By Pass. This event starts at 7.30pm till 9.30pm.
Wednesday 8th September 2010 - Mayo Nuala Harmey, Bereavement Coordinator with Temple Street, will give a talk on "Supporting & Understanding Siblings Grief" at The Family Centre, Castlebar, Co. Mayo. This event will start at 7.30pm till 9.30pm
Nuala Harmey Bereavement Coordinator with CUH Temple Street, will give a talk on "Supporting & Understanding Siblings Grief" at the Carlton Dublin Airport Hotel, Old Clougher Road. This event will stary at 7.30pm till 9.30pm
Peter Hanlon, Bereavement Specialist with the HSE, will give a talk on "A Bereaved Parent's Grief " at The Brehon Hotel, Killarney, Co Kerry. This event starts at 7.30pm till 9.30pm
Ger O Brien, Bereavement Councellor with ISIDA will give a talk on "Coping as a Bereaved Parent" at the Maritime Hotel , Bantry, West Cork . This event starts at 7.30pm till 9.30pm
David Trickey, a Clinical Psychologist will give a talk on "Dealing with Traumatic Grief " at the Moran's Silver Springs Cinference Centre, Cork City. This event will start at 7.30pm till 9.30pm
Nuala Harmey, Bereavement Coordinator at CUH Temple Street will give a talk on "Supporting & Understanding Siblings Grief" at Cara House Resource Centre, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. This event will start at 7.30pm till 9.30pm.

Brid Carroll, an expereinced Bereavement Therapist, will give a talk on "Bereavement after the death of your Child" at St Brigids Family Resource Centre, Waterford City. This event will start at 7.30pm till 9.30pm

Brid Carroll, an experienced Bereavement Therapist, will give a talk on "Bereavement after the death of your Child" at St Munchins Resource Centre, Ballynanty, Limerick. This event will start at 7.30pm till 9.30pm.
