Will you help us?

Now the brighter evenings are on their way back.... it time to start thinking about the Ladies Mini Marathon, which is taking place on Monday, 4th June in Dublin City.

At Anam Cara we don’t identify ourselves by the age of our child, how they died, or when they died. It may have been a cot death or a still birth, suicide, road traffic accident, drug related deaths or serious illness. Anam Cara identifies itself as a organisation set up by bereaved parents to address the needs of bereaved parents as we try to find ways to cope and survive the intense grief that follows the death of a precious son or daughter.

Anam Cara Fundraising Activities - Events - 2012

Will you help us support bereaved parents?

Anam Cara is looking for volunteers to help us with fundraising activities throughout Ireland. In particular for our National Bag Pack which is taking place on Saturday 3rd November in all Dunne Stores Grocery Outlets throughout the 32 counties.

We are currently looking for bag packers and if you know any students in Secondary Schools or Colleges who would be happy to help us out with this fundraising initiative, please just get in touch and we can give you all the details.

We will also be looking for people to help out on the day at the different stores.  Would you have an hour or two to spare on Saturday 3rd November?

As a national voluntary organsiation Anam Cara's overheads are low thanks to the many Anam Cara volunteers around Ireland who give their time to help out at our various services.

The generosity of  businesses in the corporate sector means our central office function is sponsored and as a recipient of the Arthur Guinness Fund award in 2010, we have been able to use those funds for our CEO/Adminisrtation roles.

All donations and monies raised from Fundraising activities go directly into our support services to help bereaved families throughout Ireland. Anam Cara Services are offered free of charge to Parents and Families.
